Stephanie Wunderlich

These are works by an illustrator named Stephanie Wunderlich.
I found her on http://www.luerzersarchive.us/
She has a collage, paper cut-out style that I find very interesting.
She has a lot of overlap and great colors in her work.

john perlock

These are a variety of examples from illustrator John Perlock.
I found his work on altpick.com
He has many different styles as you can see from the different pieces above.
I mostly wanted to post the BMW Christmas card, it shows a good example of a holiday card without too much of any particular holiday.

These are some examples of illustrations by artist Margaret Magrikie Berg.

This is a photo of a sign I saw in Iowa.
The place is Midtown Hairstyling. I loved the illustration they had above the store name of all the heads with different hairstyles.
I love the heavy line weights and the simplicity of the illustration.

Client: Amtrack

Project: Travel Poster

Specifications: Create a travel poster for Amtrack train company, to be hung in train stations across the USA. The poster will feature important aspects of the location in an effort to attract travelers.

Reproduction: The art will be printed in PMS colors and will be 12x15 inches.

Justification: The destination I have chosen is Las Vegas, Nevada. Vegas is known for it's crazy nightlife and wild reputation. It's a lively environment with an excess of partying, glam, and fame. I believe I can convey the vibe of Las Vegas in a creative way.

This is a poster design for the Grammy Awards. It was done by DogStar Design and Illustrations.
I thought this would be a good example this week to go along with project 1. The buildings in the background make up the silhouette of a guitar in the center with the negative space.

This is a Christmas card designed by George Tscherny.
The client was Overseas National Airways, which is why there are airplanes placed into the shape of a snowflake.
I thought this was a clever way of taking a cliche like a snowflake on a Christmas card, and putting a new spin on it to fit the situation.
I found this example in the book Visual Puns in Design by Eli Kince.

mountain jam!

This is an illustration I found in Workbook 26 from the library. It is a concert poster by Artman. I thought this would be an appropriate example to share considering our first project is a festival poster. This is for the Coors Light Mountain Jam. I enjoy the bright saturated colors and the sketchy handdrawn style used throughout the piece.
